Mallorca – your getaway between sea and mountains

We live in a world that moves fast. Hours go by, days fill up, and we often forget the value of something as simple as slowing down. Travelling can be exactly that: a way to pause, reconnect and breathe. And few places invite it as naturally as Mallorca. An island where sea and mountains meet, where old olive-tree paths lead to hidden coves, and where time seems to move slower, if only for a moment.

Here in Port de Sóller, the Mediterranean opens up in front of the Serra de Tramuntana, and everything encourages you to embrace slow travel: walking without hurry, discovering local flavours, letting the landscape guide you.

Hiking and cycling routes around Sóller

The Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers some of the most stunning trails in the Mediterranean. From Sóller, iconic routes begin, such as the Camí de Castelló, connecting Sóller and Deià among centuries-old olive trees, or the Barranc de Biniaraix, one of the island’s oldest and best-preserved stone paths, climbing between mountains and terraced slopes.

Cycling lovers find their paradise here as well: panoramic roads, sea-view bends and the legendary ascent to Sa Calobra, a challenge as demanding as it is unforgettable.
Walking or cycling through these landscapes is more than sport, it’s feeling the island at your own rhythm.

The charm of Majorcan coves in autumn and winter

When summer fades and calm returns, Mallorca’s beaches and coves reveal their most authentic side. Places like Cala Deià, Cala Tuent or Sa Calobra turn into peaceful corners, perfect for a walk by the sea or a quiet reading moment.

Autumn light softens everything, the air smells of pine and salt, and the sea still invites you to linger. It’s the Mediterranean at its purest.

A stroll through Palma

From Sóller, the historic vintage train links the valley with the city of Palma, crossing tunnels, mountains and orange groves. It’s much more than a journey; it’s a trip back in time.

Once in Palma, it’s worth wandering through the old town, discovering historic courtyards, visiting La Seu Cathedral or simply sitting at a terrace… or exploring a local market such as Mercat de Santa Catalina or Mercat de Sant Miguel.

And as the sun goes down, the train returns to the valley, bringing you back to Sóller’s tranquillity.
